The Association of Radiation Oncologists of Karnataka (AROK), in association with Bangalore Baptist Hospital, conducted a one-day workshop on “Organ Motion Management for Lung and Liver Targets” on 11 October 2026 at the Hellinger Auditorium, Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Hebbal, Bengaluru.
Designed as a hands-on practicum, the workshop covered the practical aspects of managing respiratory motion in thoracic and abdominal radiotherapy. Sessions focused on 4DCT simulation, Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) and rigid immobilisation techniques, with an emphasis on how these are applied in routine clinical practice.
The programme was held under the patronage of Dr. Spurgeon, Director and CEO, Bangalore Baptist Hospital. It was led by Dr. Saro Jacob, Workshop Chair and HoD-Oncology, and Dr. Ravindra G, Programme Director and Consultant Radiation Oncologist, BBH. They were supported by an organising committee of Dr. Ajay Babu, Mr. Raja Dorai, Mr. Gowri Shankar, Mr. Kumaravel and Mrs. Rajini.
The workshop was attended by more than 50 delegates, including postgraduate students, radiation oncologists and medical physicists from across Karnataka.
