Karnataka had the privilege of hosting the 12th Young Radiation Oncologists Conference (YROC 2026), the national conference of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India dedicated to young and early-career radiation oncologists. Held on 24 and 25 January 2026 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre, Bengaluru, the conference was organised by the Department of Radiation Oncology, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology (KMIO), in association with the Association of Radiation Oncologists of Karnataka (AROK).

Under the theme “Beyond the Beam: Pushing Boundaries, Transforming Outcomes,” the two-day meeting brought together postgraduate students and young radiation oncologists from across India. The programme featured scientific sessions, panel discussions, and paper and poster presentations, giving the next generation of radiation oncologists a national platform to share their research, learn from senior faculty and build lasting professional networks.

The conference showcased the strength of radiation oncology training in Karnataka, and several of its best presentations were later featured at AROK’s online CME, “Best of AROICON 2025 and YROC 2026,” in March 2026.
